The Child Advocacy Centre of Simcoe Muskoka is the ninth charity to receive Ripple of Kindness – Barrie Chapter’s donation on September 5th, 2019.
“The contribution from the Ripple of Kindness Barrie Chapter will be directed to the Barrie based, Child, Youth & Family Advocate Programs let by a Registered Social Service Worker and a Registered Social Worker. The Advocate Programs provide; on-site, trauma-informed support and education; immediate connection to specialized medical/mental health care and; acts as the ongoing primary point of contact/system navigator for victimized children, youth and their families. The services of CACSM are provided at no cost to families, eliminating financial barriers and improving access to care, key issues for those experiencing physical and/or sexual victimization and exposure to trauma. The CACSM does not yet receive sustainable government funding and relies on grants and community contributions to advance and sustain this work. Your generosity will support, youth and their families, helping them heal and have hope for the future. ” ~ CAC

SHOPPING/SOCIAL – We can then take a walk downtown Barrie and stop in at Barrie Olive Oil, Our House, Summer House and Zuzu’s Ladies Fashions for some shopping. Please join us at Donaleighs about 9:30 pm to end the evening.
